The Art of Embroidery

The Turkmen people consider their national values sacred. Many of our magnificent women's costumes are created thanks to the talent and dedication of Turkmen women. People like the Turkmen people, who have preserved their identity and passed on their heritage from the depths of centuries, treat everyone with great respect. Seeing costumes embroidered by the hands of Turkmen craftswomen, you understand the true meaning of the phrase of our grandmothers: "Embroidering is like digging a well with a needle." Embroidery requires skill, artistic mastery and patience. Embroidered dresses keteni, takhya, chabyt and begresi, decorated with various patterns created by the long fingers of our skilled women, reflect the incomparable beauty of Turkmen nature, the gifts of the generous Turkmen land and are the adornment of our women. Our women know how to elevate the art of embroidery, passed down from the depths of centuries, to the level of art in our wonderful time. They decorate each piece of clothing with modern patterns, further emphasizing the beauty of a Turkmen wedding in national Turkmen costumes. We are grateful to the National Leader of the Turkmen people and Arkadagly Hero Serdar for creating all the opportunities for studying and worldwide popularization of the culture and history of our ancestors in the Era of the revival of a new era of a powerful state. We wish the National Leader, Arkadagly Hero President good health, longevity and success in his noble activities of universal significance.
