PIGLET

There are 24 species in the world, in Turkmenistan there is 1 species of this medicinal plant. It grows in gorges and rocky places. The plant blooms in August-September and bears fruit in September-October. Sufficient supply for medicinal purposes. For medicinal purposes, the root, trunk, leaves are used as raw materials. Raw materials are collected in the usual way and dried in the open air under a canopy. The piglet contains alkaloids, 7.4% of useful substances, saponins, phenylcarboxylic acid, naphthochitons (plumbagin), anthraglycosides, anthocyanins (cyanidin, delphinidin), flavonoids (europetin). In folk medicine in many countries, piglet is used for headaches and tumors of different nature, radiation sickness of the skin. It has an antibacterial effect with antifungal action and a wide spectrum. In the Caucasus, its root is used for toothache. The powder of this plant mixed with fat is used for scabies and fungal diseases. One tablespoon of a well-ground leaf should be mixed with one glass of water and boiled for 10 minutes. Strain the resulting mixture through cheesecloth and drink 2 tablespoons 3 times a day. 2 tablespoons of powder from the root of the plant must be mixed with 100 grams of white fat, apply this ointment 2 times a day on sores and scabies.
