There are 60 species of this medicinal and highly ornamental plant in the world, including 15 in Turkmenistan. Eremurus alba blooms from April to June. Its spherical fruits ripen from May to July. The reserves are sufficient for medicinal and food purposes. It is not included in the number of rare weeds. In our country, it is found in the South-West Kopetdag: Nohur, Sayvan, Desht, Bendesen and in the Central Kopetdag: Hovdan, Gokdere. Both the roots of the plant and fresh leaves serve as medicinal raw materials. The roots and leaves of Eremurus contain a large number of polysaccharides, especially the polysaccharide eremura. A special sticky mass is formed from the powder dissolved in water. It can be used as a diuretic and expectorant. 15 grams of medicinal raw material prepared from young roots of the plant, pour a glass of water and boil. Strain the prepared decoction and drink half a glass 3 times a day 20-30 minutes before meals. The decoction improves mood and helps with colds and poisoning. Fresh leaves of the plant are prepared in the same way as spinach pies. Relieves bloating. The dried tuber of the plant should be crushed into powder and taken 1-2 grams 3 times a day before meals. The medicinal powder is used to treat infertility.
