Turkmen bread. In this section, the first thing you see is the sacred tamdyr, which is the Turkmen's sacred object. This tamdyr, which is displayed in the exhibition hall, is a 21st-century clay tamdyr. Turkmens build their tamdyr on an auspicious day, from a clean earth, with great devotion. A “gochak” pattern is drawn on the body of the tamdyr, which is designed to protect the blessing of the tamdyr from evil eye and tongue. The necessary utensils for baking bread include a plate, a sieve, water, salt, and yeast. The crafts used for baking bread displayed in the exhibition belong to the 21st century.
