Central Asia – Japan

As is well known, the “Central Asia+” format brings together Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, as well as individual countries wishing to establish, develop, and strengthen cooperation with the region. In 2022, a joint concept of Central Asian states on cooperation in multilateral formats, including the “Central Asia+” format, was approved. This equal dialogue is open to all interested states and organizations. This cooperation is comprehensive in nature, and it includes not only meetings of heads of state but also ministerial meetings. Relations in this format primarily cover sectors such as transport and communications, fuel and energy, environmental protection, trade and the economy, innovative technologies, and investment. It should be noted that multilateral cooperation and the mutual exchange of experiences hold great promise. Central Asia is more than just a vast geographic space connecting two continents. A shared history, culture, language, and religion further unite, connect, and bond more than 81 million residents of the region. This symbolizes the steadfastness of ancient friendship and good-neighborly relations.
